Tiny Tuesday No. 3 — Silk Riding Habit, c. 1780

£60.00
Sold Out

A hand-painted miniature study of an eighteenth-century silk riding habit, after a Venetian example in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (acc. no. M.82.16.2a–c).

Painted in pen, ink and watercolour with metallic accents on heavy 300gsm cold-press paper, this work captures the tailored structure of the coat and waistcoat, and the controlled silhouette designed for side-saddle riding.

This is the original 4×3 inch artwork featured in my Instagram and TikTok series Tiny Tuesdays.

Each piece in the series is a unique study of historical dress, painted at a miniature scale to focus on form, structure, and detail.

Original, one-of-a-kind artwork.

Please note that reproductions such as prints or cards may be produced from this work in future.
